Ciro starting working in his Uncle’s pizzeria aged 12 and has never looked back! His dream was to always have his own restaurant and after 25 years of hard work in Italy, Switzerland and Scotland, he finally succeeded and opened Ciro’s in Callander in 2007 along with his wife Nikki (aka Mrs Ciro!). They had been running the restaurant together for 10 years with Ciro in the kitchen and Nikki holding the fort front of house when unfortunately a fire broke out in the flat above their restaurant spelling disaster! Determined to keep going, they rose from the ashes (literally!) and took over the management of the restaurant within Loch Tay Highland Lodges near Killin to create Ciro’s @ Loch Tay and for the next 3 years gained a huge following. They also managed to win The Best Family Run Italian Restaurant 2018 at the Scottish Italian Awards, an amazing achievement. Their grown up children, Fabi and Cameron, also help out in the family business when not studying making Ciro’s a truly, family affair.
